Piero, that's the name of a local original Indonesian product that has gone global. Yes, Piero shoes can be said to be able to compete with other products out there. Unfortunately, the Indonesian market itself is still dominated by foreign products imported from abroad, even though there are native Indonesian local products whose prices are much cheaper and of comparable quality to imported products from abroad.
According to the story, the founder Piero, who came from Solo, said, "It's important to live (life is important), because 3,000 employees will be in trouble if they don't live,". Because the owner of the company used the word "urip" so often, one of the directors had the idea to name his shoes "urip". But the name is considered less selling. Because of that, Urip's name was then reversed, because nothing fit, so another letter was inserted, it became Piero.
Since 1999, this shoe manufacturer has emerged in Indonesia. Various models have been issued to attract attention. Having experienced his peak in the early 2000s, many efforts are being made by Piero to maintain his existence.
